Naperville Township, in partnership with the greater Aurora, Naperville & Warrenville communities, and through the efforts of dedicated employees and elected officials, will provide township services in an efficient and effective manner in order to preserve and enhance the quality of life for all our residents. We are committed to listening to and evaluating the needs of the public and shall provide services, which are responsive to the health, safety and general welfare of the entire township. Naperville Township is located in the Southwest corner of DuPage County, approximately 35 miles west of Chicago. The Township is a 36 square mile area bordered by Kane (Kautz Rd.) and Will (87th St.) Counties to the west and south and by Winfield (Townline Rd.) and Lisle (Washington/Modaff) Townships to the north and east respectively. The Township encompasses parts of the cities of Naperville, Aurora, and Warrenville, and the town of Eola. Currently Naperville Township has just over 34,000 parcels in its jurisdiction, with a little over $3.6 billion in assessed valuation, or around $10.8 billion in market value. Naperville Township takes in an area of 36 square miles. The Naperville Township Road District maintains the right-of-way of many of the streets in all unincorporated areas. With few exceptions, that right-of-way is 66 feet wide or 33 feet from the center of the street to the property line. Within that 66 feet, the Road District assumes many responsibilities. Your Road District is equipped to handle most of these duties and to contract some with private enterprise. We have excellent Intergovernmental cooperation with the municipalities in and around Township boundaries. Manpower and equipment are often exchanged to make all of us more efficient.
