The Atlantic Jewish Council (AJC) has been the cornerstone of Jewish life in the Atlantic provinces since 1975.The AJC serves as the organized Jewish community's representative and program provider for non-religious matters pertaining to Jewish communal life in Atlantic Canada. Working with national Jewish agencies, the AJC presents a strong voice for Israel and the Canadian Jewish community. It represents the Atlantic Jewish population to all levels of government and to a large number of Jewish and non-Jewish organizations.
