Fencing Club Trekanten is one of Denmark's oldest and biggest clubs in modern sport fencing.Originally a club where the nobility, academics and military personnel could compete in the noble discipline, but today an association run by volunteers with ambitions to make fencing a sport for everyone and the vision to produce athletes on a high international level.This work has also borne fruit, as the association is one of Denmark's most elite clubs and has repeatedly been among the most successful. The association also houses some of the greatest talents in Danish fencing.The association was founded March 26'th 1929 on the initiative of Captain S.C. Olsen (Søren Christian Olsen) and is a club under the Danish Fencing Federation which is a sports federations under DIF and a registered member of DGI and the Federation Internationale d'Escrime (FIE).We are part of Team Copenhagen's elite clubs and have athletes on the Team Denmark program.Fencing briefly explained:Fencing is a martial art where one fights against each other with either a thrusting or cutting weapon (Foil, Epee, Sabre) and is one of the few sports that has been on the program by all the modern Olympic Games.
