Foley Timber and Land Company (Foley) is a private company that in 1994 acquired more than 600,000 acres from Procter & Gamble (P&G) in coastal North Central Florida. The company has subsequently purchased and sold various parcels proximate to these lands, including selling important conservation lands to the State of Florida. Foley's primary business is managing its land holdings, including its sustainable timber operations, from which it annually harvests more than one million tons of timber. It also provides land for hunting and recreational purposes, as well as for limestone mining and various agricultural activities. Foley currently owns approximately 560,000 acres in five North Central Florida counties, including approximately 380,000 acres in Taylor County. The property is approximately 880 square miles and is roughly centered between Tallahassee and Gainesville within Florida's Nature Coast region.Our State- and County-approved master development plan totals more than 128,000 acres and includes multiple mixed-use residential planning areas and large-scale "mega" industrial sites covering approximately 45,000 acres. Each of the development areas is tied to a network of agricultural lands spanning roughly 83,000 acres.Existing infrastructure, including a short line railroad serving two Class I carriers, a general aviation airport ripe for expansion, major gas and electric transmission, and abundant water resources, combined with our three "mega" industrial site properties of 2,900, 3,500, and 8,000 acres provide resources for manufacturers, developers, and investors alike.
