USTA Pacific Northwest (USTA/PNW) is a nonprofit, 501c3 organization whose mission is to promote and develop the growth of tennis. USTA/PNW has more than 24,000 members, 200 organizational members, hundreds of volunteers and seasonal staff, and is comprised of the states of Oregon, Washington, Alaska and Idaho north. USTA/PNW is located in Beaverton, Oregon. USTA/PNW is one of 17 geographical sections of the USTA. Established in 1881, the USTA is the national governing body for the sport of tennis and the recognized leader in promoting and developing the sport's growth on every level, from local communities to the crown jewel of the professional game, the US Open. USTA is the largest tennis organization in the world, with more than 770,000 individual members, 8,000 organizational members, and 17 geographical sections, including USTA Pacific Northwest. USTA/PNW serves the Pacific Northwest through the following services. Recreational Programs Non-competitive programs designed to promote health and wellness opportunities through the game of tennis to new players in a fun and friendly way including, Tennis After School Zone (after-school tennis and life skills), Play to Learn (game-based activities for all ages), and Family-Friendly (entry-level programs for the entire family to play together). Adult Competition Adult and senior competitive programs that encompass year-round tournaments and league play. Junior Competition Myriad of competitive programs committed to the development of junior players including year-round training, tournaments, and team play. Community Tennis & Partnerships Services and resources that promote the growth of tennis within communities by supporting existing tennis providers: grants, facility assistance, joint ventures, trainings, and more.
