Jimenez & Linares is a young studio that looks to the past to build the future. Twice First Prize in the R.H.Driehaus International Competition, a recognition that distinguishes those architects who look towards the recovery of historical forms and the know-how of traditional architecture. The study was founded in 2018 by Elena Jiménez and Abelardo Linares based in Seville. Since then, Jiménez & Linares has focused on developing its own identity through a series of works of diverse scale and use to which the interest in the abstraction of the classic unites. Research on the elements of traditional architecture, its analysis and translation to contemporary contexts is a fundamental part of the creative process carried out by the studio for each new project. An architecture that wants to appear simple, but that is based on precision, order and optimization of resources
