Feldheim Publishers is a family-owned and operated publishing house established in 1939. When Philipp Feldheim escaped the tragic horrors of the Holocaust and arrived in New York City, he established a modest bookstore on the Lower East Side. Recognized the growing need for authentic Hebraica and Judaica, his small enterprise expanded to become Philipp Feldheim Inc., publishers of "Torah Literature of Quality."The new company took an innovative turn as well. Mr. Feldheim sought to produce English translations of Hebrew texts, making them accessible to an English-speaking public.
