It is included in the prestigious Catalog of Philanthropy and on Guidestar.The mission of Earthen Vessels is to transform lives by fostering service, community and spirit. We engage at-risk youth and university students in mutually enriching relationships through long-term mentoring, academic support and a life-changing camp experience. Our goal is to create a more just, tolerant and empathetic world.This mission is accomplished through two complementary programs: an intense experience of community life at our Summer Camp in Vermont, and a school-year Tutoring and Mentoring Program which matches youngsters one-on-one with Harvard students in long-term supportive relationships which are equally enriching for both sides of the equation. In recent years, 80-100% of our 'graduates' have gone on to college.
