The Rice Computer Science Club represents all students interested in computer science and technology at Rice University. We have several subsidiary organization such as HackRice, our annual hackathon including 300+ students, 15+ companies, and 30+ alumni; RiceApps, our student-run project development organization that builds apps for the Rice and greater Houston community; and CS I/O, a new initiative that runs a committee of undergraduate students in order to continuously gather feedback from students and faculty and keep an ongoing discussion about ways to improve teaching/learning and student-faculty engagement. We host several social and technical events throughout the year including workshops and info sessions with top tech companies, skill-oriented workshops that teach you practical skills like building a personal website, lightning talks from current students about their projects/internships, dinners between underclassmen and upperclassmen, coffee chats between mentors and mentees, and afternoons in the quad for students and faculty to hang out and get to know each other in a more casual setting.Find out more info on our website: csclub.rice.edu
