The mission of Stanford Continuing Studies is to share the rich educational resources of Stanford University with adult students, to nurture a vibrant learning community, to nourish the life of the mind, and to promote the pleasures of intellectual exploration and exchange.Stanford Continuing Studies invites you to join our open learning community. Each year, more than 13,000 Bay Area residents take our courses in order to enrich their intellectual and professional lives. Our classes typically meet one evening a week (Monday through Thursday) in the heart of Stanford's campus, usually from 7:00 – 8:50 pm. Courses are five to ten weeks long, and weekend workshops are also available. Courses are offered in all four academic quarters: Fall, Winter, Spring and Summer.
