Arigato Japan Food Tours started as a 1-woman show in 2016. Anne Kyle, the Founder, performed the first 300 tours herself. Out of her passion for helping visitors to Japan blossomed a team of over 70 people completely aligned with a mission to provide a fun, memorable, and delicious understanding of Japanese history, etiquette, manners, culture and of course, FOOD!Arigato Travel has been featured at the New York Times Travel Show, on the U.S. News & World Report, Travel Weekly, by British Airways, the popular TV show Travels with Darley, on CNN Travel as one of the top 7 most authentic experience companies in Japan . We were also mentioned in BBC Travel Show and Forbes magazine as one of The World's Best Virtual Tours. Our tours were also highlighted on the BBC World Travel Show in April 2021. Arigato Travel has hosted over 29,000 guests on exciting and delicious culinary experiences. We have proudly received over 1,700 positive reviews and maintained a 5-Star Rating on TripAdvisor, with a Certificate of Excellence for three years running and a Travelers' Choice Award in 2020. We have trained more than 500 Guides through various programs and projects, with a training program focused on walking food tours in 5 different cities, 7 Online Experiences and a recent five-part webinar series. Arigato Travel has continued being creative and resilient despite the current challenges and looks forward to new opportunities and successes in the future!
