Our Hauora is founded on building resilience through the Maori philosophy of health and wellbeing. Our programmes and courses are designed to teach people their own range of skills to navigate the challenges in their everyday life.Having recently completed a Start Me Up business development course with the Ministry of Social Development and Te Ohaka, Our Hauora is set to launch in 2021 starting with a series of workshops for children and adults teaching resilience, mindfulness, the power of the breath and self regulation. Nutrition and movement will play a large role with the critical need for our people to remain fit and healthy throughout their journey.At the early stages, Our Hauora is set to begin this much needed change with workshops and courses for both children and adults. With NZ children and adults having the third highest rates of obesity or being overweight and NZ having the highest youth suicide rates in the developed world, these challenges can be overcome by giving our people the ability to navigate life with simple tools and techniques we can all access.
