West London Business is a business-led non-profit established in 1994 with a board including blue-chip firms such as Heathrow and PwC, as well as Fullers, Brunel University London and micro enterprises. Our mission is to ensure that West London remains the best place to do business. West London is an amazing sub-region: it's a £50bn economy and the second largest economic powerhouse in the UK. Our members commit to work together to raise West London's global economic competitiveness, whilst pursuing social and environmental sustainability.We are proud to represent hundreds of member companies from multinationals to SMEs and have a reach of 13,000+ supporters receiving our quarterly magazine and monthly e-newsletter.Over several decades a range of strategic partnerships have developed with local authorities, the GLA, local chambers and business groups, as well as non-profits.Over several decades we have delivered a range of programmes and impacted in numerous areas, some examples:INSIGHT• Project managed development of LDA-funded West London Economic Development Strategy (2004-6)• Helped to broker redeployment and mentoring services through our membership and partners for Gillette when their Brentford manufacturing site closed in 2006; 380 of the 500 staff were successfully redeployed through these efforts.• Created and manage the West London Business Awards (2013-)VOICE• Implemented West London Inward Investment Programme with LDA and Think London (2004-2009)• Formulated and published policy manifestos for national and local elections, on behalf of the West London business community• Actively supported successful efforts to secure Davies Commission backing for HeathrowCONNECTIONS• Initiated the Golden Mile Group, which became the Golden Mile Transport Group• Launched and facilitates the Park Royal Business GroupENTERPRISE DEVELOPMENT• Assisted over 250 businesses develop their exports• Created and led London West Business Consortium
