Markham Aquatic Club (MAC) is Ontario's premier competitive swim club. Training at the World-class Markham Pan Am facility and state-of-the-art community pools, MAC offers top professional coaches and training programs for swimmers from beginner to high performance. MAC is registered with Swim Ontario, Swimming Canada and FINA and is a non-profit organization and community service club.Since 1973, MAC has produced regional, provincial, and national champions, varsity and world-level high-performance swimmers. We offer a variety of pre-competitive and competitive programs to meet swimmers needs, whether to improve technical skill, achieve peak fitness or compete at the highest levels of the sport. Our pre-competitive programs are open to boys and girls 6 years and older. Participants are individually assessed and are required to swim at least two, 25metre lengths and demonstrate basic ability in the four competitive strokes. As swimmers progress in their training, they form bonds and friendships that last a lifetime. Swim training uniquely combines a focus on personal progression and team fun and success.MAC is operated by a club administrator, professional coaching staff, a volunteer Board of Directors, Executive and committees. Parent volunteers serve actively in the club. The Club provides and administers Swim Ontario timing and officiant training for all MAC parents. MAC hosts, and swimmers are expected to participate in, regional swim meets throughout the competitive season from September to June. MAC also operates summer swim camps at Markham Pan Am Center.
