Founded in 2005, ANEW®, a national not-for-profit 501 (c)(3) organization is dedicated to the mission of Surplus Stewardship® – a responsible, sustainable alternative to common liquidation practices of FF&E (furniture, fixtures and equipment). ANEW takes Group I (semi-fixed and fixed) items and Group II (non-fixed) items in any condition and uses a ‘chain of custody' approach for all items received. Surplus is assessed in three priority categories: 1. To strengthen the community base2. To support the local circular economy, and 3. To divert from landfill on every project across the country. ANEW manages item relocation, via either distribution for alternate client reuse, resale, community impact donation or by recycling. Surplus Stewardship® is an independently audited practice that raises CSR and spares the environment, meanwhile providing tax benefits reciprocal to the materials' fair market value.
