Established in 1998 by a group of concerned southern Maine and seacoast New Hampshire citizens, Fair Tide opened its Transitional Housing Program to participants in May 2000.\\Fair Tide guides its participants toward self-sufficiency through individualized support, community referrals, and advocacy. \\Fair Tide's housing is located in downtown Kittery, Maine. Fair Tide also operates a Thrift Store in Kittery, for the purpose of funding the Transitional Housing Program. \\This grassroots organization continues to rely on community support and involvement, and in turn provides the community with productive and active citizens.
