Founded in 2007 the Welly Ball is the largest black-tie dinner in Scotland, followed by one of the most highly anticipated after-parties attended by over 2000 guests from all over the UK.All money raised from the event is donated directly to the Charlie Waller Memorial Trust. This helps to go towards the charity's goal of raising awareness and support for young adults with mental health issues, and helping to fight the associated stigma which accompanies them. We are entering our seventh year in partnership with CWMT and have raised over £128,000 to date.In addition to our charitable focus, we have worked to partner with companies such as Dubarry, San Pellegrino, Hunter and Russell and Bromley, all whom have generously sponsored our efforts for organising the event. Our committee consists of a vast array of talents from which the Events, Marketing, Sponsorship, Front of House, Media, Finance and Charity teams are formed. These teams work throughout the whole year in order to provide a fantastic event for students across the UK as well as continuously working alongside and promoting our charitable partner. We have been recognise for our work through The Mary Moloney Plate, awarded to us by CWMT, for continued outstanding commitment to the charity.
