From our offices in Bridgwater in Somerset, our team supports Conservative Party political campaigning and fundraising activities across the county. The county is made up of five parliamentary constituencies; namely Bridgwater and West Somerset, Somerton & Frome, Taunton Deane and Wells. There is an active Conservative Association in each constituency, which have come together to form the Somerset Conservatives Grouping. On Thursday 7 May, the people of Somerset elected four new Conservative MPs David Warburton in Somerton & Frome, Rebecca Pow in Taunton Deane, James Heappey in Wells and Marcus Fysh in Yeovil; joining Ian Liddell-Grainger who has represented Bridgwater & West Somerset since 2001.As well as electing five Conservative Members of Parliament, on Thursday 7th May the people of Somerset elected 152 Conservative District and Borough Councillors, plus a new County Councillor at a by-election. The Conservatives are the leading party in local government in the county, running Mendip, Sedgemoor, Taunton Deane, and West Somerset local authorities, as well as the County Council. South Somerset District is in no overall control.
