Almost 80 million people have been forcibly displaced from their homes worldwide- the highest level of displacement that's ever been recorded. Nearly 30 million of these people are refugees, over half of whom are under the age of 18. They have had to flee their country because of persecution, war, or violence, and cannot safely return home. Our organization has been focused on aiding the worldwide refugee crisis through concrete actions. By providing educational resources to refugee communities in spending quality time with refugee children and their families, we are able to ease their transition to the U.S. This effort also serves as an opportunity to educate ourselves and diversify our thinking through personal experiences. By financing emergency humanitarian aid to refugees, through this effort we grant our communities the opportunity to make a donation to these causes and add depth to their commitment in making the world a better place.
