We opened our doors in 2002 to provide children and adults with a warm and friendly environment that is both conducive to learning and fun for all to enjoy. We offer private music lessons for piano, guitar, violin, bassoon, brass, and woodwind instruments. People that study music score higher in math & science, have higher self-esteem, better vocabularies, and enjoy a much-improved quality of life. Learning and practicing an instrument is a tremendous way to learn self-discipline and the value of hard work. In addition to classical music we also offer other forms including jazz, rock, and other popular styles. Students at Somerset Academy are offered multiple opportunities to connect with their peers and contemporaries on a community level and share in their love of music. Our students have performed at the Deerfield Towne Center's annual Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony, Holidays in Deerfield, Kings Fine Arts Festival, and the Ohio Renaissance Festival as well as numerous recitals for the community. Students have also had the opportunity to take part in the Junior Music Experience held twice a year in Ohio and Northern Kentucky, The Ronald McDonald House Piano-Play-A-Thon, and the annual Music Notes Contest.At Somerset Academy our aim is not just to teach our students to play instruments but to learn to love making and sharing music with others.
