ProTranslate is a registered New Zealand owned translation firm servicing clients in New Zealand and the Middle East. It was established in 2014 by Shams Al-Chalabi - an affiliate member of the New Zealand Society of Translators and Interpreters (NZSTI). Shams has been translating for the marketing and media industry for over seven years - English to Arabic/ Arabic to English - in the Middle East and New Zealand. Her translation work covers a wide range of content from the marketing and sales, industrial, technical, and literature industry. Having worked for the publishing industry for over five years in a metropolitan country like Bahrain, Shams had developed strong relationships with copy writers, proof readers and experienced translators who come from different parts of the world; who now stand by her work, assisting her in delivering the highest standards of translation. Shams is unable to translate legal documents for immigration or any government department as she has not yet been accredited as an official translator; however, she is working towards getting accredited by the National Accreditation Authority for Translators and Interpreters. Once the accreditation process is finalised Shams will become a full member of NZSTI and will hold an official translator stamp and the services will be updated accordingly.
