We are a group of young Habesha men and women (Eritreans and Ethiopians) who care deeply about the welfare and future of our people. We believe that despite some difference in how we are administered, there are common tangible and intangible materials that bind us together. If our lives have been, still are, and continue to be intertwined wherever we go; so must our discussions be. This company is created to have qualitatively mature contents and discussions that entertain writings and topics produced and touch on primarily the larger Habesha region.Although there are many good websites that discuss the region separately in the cyber world, we did not feel there existed one single website that gathered and reflected the reality of our lives, interests, and relationships as it is in our actual world. One had to go to several websites and outlets to gather the discussion of those subjects. There fore, this website came into existence so as to mainly discuss subjects that are important to the people of Eritrea and Ethiopia while also touching the North-east Africa region, the continent, and the rest of the world where Habesha people reside. We hope you contribute and participate as readers and writers. We would like to say here that the use of the term "Habesha" is intentional and it is being used loosely to mean the people of the region that includes Eritrea and Ethiopia. We realize that there are people from both countries who do not feel the term represents them. While we understand their concern, we assure them that it is being used here with the intention of being inclusive. We are well aware of the history of the term, and we hope to discuss the significance of that term itself. We picked it because of lack of a better term. It is not being used to be exclusive so we still ask you to participate without focusing on the term. We will continue to use the term loosely for the sake of simplicity. We hope you judge the website by its contents.
