Founded by waitress-turn-designer Molly Kent after 10 years experience working both FOH and BOH hospitality in various establishments, roles and countries, she felt a strong need for a higher concentration on staff and how workplace wellbeing, respect and enjoyment of their job can absolutely be the major factor in the successfulness of a business.From her own working perspective, staff deserve to feel comfortable, confident, appreciated and respected at work. That's precisely what 'day seven' aim to help hospitality achieve, by custom designing uniforms with intention and functionality for hospitality that traditional uniforms do not provide. With goals to improve the autonomy and workplace culture for women, supporting the local fashion and manufacturing industry, and the sustainable futures of hospitality, in alignment with the health of our planet. We take on a range of small and large boutique and contemporary clients for custom made uniforms. From hotels, spas cafes, restaurants, resorts, events and private functions. Our uniform collections are made to last the seasons and the team diversity, being made to order, we minimise our production footprint and have the old school flexibilities to offer free repairs from our domestic and international clients all from our Melbourne Australia Studio. We are able to propose a concept according to all budgets in accordance with client needs. From proposal to concept ideation, working with clients through feedback rounds, and developing their longlasting on-brand exclusive uniform for all front of house departments our turnaround period is min 6weeks. While also offering styling, tailoring and unifrom shop for sole traders as well as our primary service custom designing.
