Phillip J. Tucker is a member of The Tucker Law Firm with his spouse, Noel K. Tucker, in Edmond, Oklahoma. He received his undergraduate degrees from Oklahoma State University and the University of Central Oklahoma and graduated from Oklahoma City University School of Law in 1983. He is a past Chair of the Family Law Section of the Oklahoma Bar Association and serves as a senior co-editor of the Section's Practice Manual from 2002 to present. He is also a member of the Association of Family and Conciliation Courts, Oklahoma County Bar Association and OTLA/ATLA. In 2003, Phil was recognized by the OBA as Oklahoma's Outstanding Family Law Attorney. He has been widely published and regularly presents in the areas of Adoption, Paternity, Habeas Corpus proceedings and the role of the Guardian Ad Litem; as well as, a contributing author for the OBA/Family Law Section's Practice Manual. He currently sits on the OBA Guardian ad Litem Project and Adoption Statutory Review Committee. Phil is also an active member of the Family Law Section of the American Bar Association where he sits on the Adoption, Law Office Management Technology, Genetic and Reproductive Technology and Military Law committees (serving as a volunteer with Operation Standby). He is an Adjunct Professor of Law teaching both family law and civil procedure classes as well as a member of the National Court Appointed Special Advocates Association ("CASA"). Phil and Noel have the distinguished honor of having an annual award for outstanding Guardian Ad Litem representation named after them. The Tucker Award was established by the OBA/FLS in 2004. Their firm provides quality service for all times of family law matters from divorce/dissolution of marriage, modification, adoptions and guardianship proceedings (both minor and adult).
