Established in 1977 by Freeport business leaders, we have evolved from an organization of member merchants to the premier organization dedicated to marketing Freeport for destination travel and serving the information needs of visitors. Visit us at the Freeport Information Center, located at 23 Depot St. The FreeportUSA Map & Visitor Guide is the largest community tourism publication in the state, with over 250,000 copies distributed throughout Maine, New England and Canada and with over 600 points of distribution. FreeportUSA answers hundreds of information phone calls, fulfills thousands of mail requests for maps and brochures, and maintains an informational website with half a million annual visits. We manage a year round information center at the Amtrak Downeaster Train Station, and a seasonal Information Center on Main Street in Freeport.
