Our vision and ethos at Clowns is to develop the right mindset in our children. We believe that by developing the right mindset it enables each child to develop the skills to become a confident and life-long learner who goes on to lead a successful, happy life.We provide a safe and nurturing learning environment, where we endeavour to meet the wellbeing needs of every child in our care. Our curriculum ensures that children learn through making mistakes and that the process of mistake making is modelled and normalised throughout the nursery.Our children at Clowns have a ‘can do' attitude to learning and we foster the development of resilience when learning new skills. Our children understand that learning is challenging, and that they may not be able to do something ‘yet'. They cultivate persistence and learn a range of strategies they can implement when they find something ‘tricky'.We teach children the value of working together as a team and encourage collaborative learning. We support the children to learn from one another and become inquisitive learners who succeed by asking questions to learn.All our children are taught to show respect for each other and for those around them. Our curriculum is tailored to embrace and celebrate the rich ethnic and cultural diversity reflected in each class. Our children learn tolerance and mutual respect for different faiths and beliefs through becoming more informed about the festivals and rituals their peers and teachers observe.We believe learning should be magical and every child should experience awe and wonder. We create inspiring learning environments and promote a culture of creativity, thinking and expression.Clowns children grow up to be confident and effective communicators who thrive on challenges and embrace new opportunities. As a result, our children are excited and ready to learn and continue learning when they leave us to start the next stage of the learning journey at school.
