The Minara Chamber of Commerce is a formally constituted organization formed in May 2000 , through an initiative by the Muslim community to create unity between Muslim businesses after consultation with a broad spectrum of the business community, and has since grown tremendously and now serves as a platform to represent and assist South African businesses, entrepreneurs and professionals.Over the 10 years Minara has been providing support to its members to establish new business networks and opportunities by exposing its members to local and international trade delegations and government officials.The Chamber's activities and objectives are based on the need to provide a formal voice and guiding vision for Business. The constitution and workings are based on an adherence to an Islamic Code of Conduct and Ethics as contained in the Holy Quran.Membership is open to business owners, professionals, entrepreneurs, organizations and students and there is no discrimination on the basis of race, color, sex, creed, language or cultural caste. Membership extends across South Africa and in time will grow into the rest of Africa.The Chamber has received official recognition from the South African government and trade organizations and has established formal relationships with other Chambers of Commerce.We provide services and skills to benefit our members allowing them to soar above others. We will use our collective resources to uplift economic standing of the community and become a beacon of guiding light to our fellow citizens.Membership extends across South Africa and in time will grow into the rest of Africa.The Minara Chamber of Commerce strives for a high degree of professionalism and an ethos of credibility, dedication, passion and vision.
