(BGHS), a non-profit, CommuniCare organization, licensed by the Department of Public Health, is a pioneer in providing innovative, exceptional behavioral health care through quality services and programs that focus on, and respect, the consumer. The mission of BGHS is to improve community health and the quality of life of individuals by providing mental health, addiction and domestic violence services. BGHS receives funding from the Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services, the Department of Social Services, and the Ryan White Title 1 Program, as well as philanthropic organizations such as The Community Foundation for Greater New Haven, The Katharine Matthies Foundation, and the Valley United Way. With over 25 years of experience in behavioral health care, a dedicated staff, and committed volunteers, BGHS is a leader in helping our community become a healthier place to live, work, and raise a family.
