The Buttery helps teenagers and adults who have mental health, drug and alcohol and/or gambling issues. The Buttery is unique because of the range, scale and integration of what it offers. All programs are evidence-based, best practice and covered by a rigorous quality assurance program. The Buttery conducts three residential programs and separate but integrated programs based in the community in the NSW Mid and Far North Coast Regions. Participants in its residential programs come from all over Australia.The Buttery Private residential program near Murwillumbah is The Buttery's social enterprise. It is a short stay, user pays program for people who may have non-acute mental health issues such as anxiety, burn-out and early stage substance misuse. Founded in 1973, The Buttery is an independent charity and deductible gift recipient.
