In all hospitals, whether digitally advanced or otherwise, clinicians on the wards are still writing their jobs list, during the morning ward round, on a piece of paper. This makes capturing the data of day-to-day patient tasks extraordinarily difficult for hospitals. But in this data lies the key for understanding where dead space in the patient journey lies and therefore in enabling strategic changes to pathways as well as better operational insights. All of which will lead to reductions in length of stay and improved outcomes, not to mention a reduction in information governance breaches related to paper task lists.We've developed a tool which enables this data to be captured robustly. Patient task data acquired by our platform is combined with outcomes, such as length of stay, tasks per patient, and mortality.
