Originally, Tracevia achieved notoriety in its traditional area of performance – Signalling and Road Safety – where it has been operating for almost 30 years. During this period of time, Tracevia entered new areas like acoustic barriers where it is also one of the biggest companies in Portugal in this sector. However, the company broadened its activity into other areas. In Telematics or ITS – Intelligent Transportation Systems, the company today accumulates a vast set of knowledge which enables it to develop state-of-the-art technical solutions and deliver turn-key projects comprising different types of equipment and using various kinds of technologies. In addition to installing and commissioning hardware, Tracevia also developed a software platform with a modular and greatly redundant architecture, which allows a totally integrated control of all ITS subsystems on the roadside – or in the control room – in a highly inclusive graphical user interface, named XVIAE.TRACEVIA is part of Mota-Engil Group, market leader in Portugal in the civil construction and public works sector.
