At Buddy System our mission is to empower neighbors to support neighbors, beginning with food access and continuing with viable support for long-term change. We are committed to creating lasting systemic change through community engagement, community building and community organizing. Our work starts with food assistance and continues with viable support for long-term change.Who We Are & What We DoBuddy System is a grassroots non-profit founded in response to COVID-19. What began as an effort to support our neighbors with access to food assistance during the pandemic quickly grew into a massive mutual aid program. Within weeks, we found ourselves serving over 1000 people in South Florida with a team of 700 volunteers. Through organizing, we are able to create systemic change because the issues of the area are being addressed by the community for the community.
