Provence Holidays was born from the vision and desire to share the richness and beauty of this region by an Englishman living in Provence.Simon Richards, son of a well-known antique dealer with an upbringing in craftmanship and design, relocated to Provence for love in 2008. Having studied for nearly 15 years in one of London's most popular French schools, French culture has always been an important part of his life. At the time, an interior designer by trade and passionate about beautiful antiques and unique items, Simon used his creativity and knowledge to successfully revive several charming properties in the Luberon that still form part of our current portfolio of luxury private holiday homes today.Following his lifelong passions, Simon qualified as a Cordon Blue chef and attained several wine qualifications that have resulted in a first-hand knowledgeable selection of what we believe are some of the best addresses in Provence.Since the birth of his daughter, Emma, he has been further inspired to discover the best that this region has to offer: unusual places, family activities, local specialities, amazing local markets and gastronomic cuisine. Simon explores the most beautiful villages of Provence in search of ever more magic for his family. As his love for the region grows, so does his local network of owners, partners and producers.
