MTA S.p.A. is one of the world's top manufacturers of a wide range of electrical and electronic components developed entirely within the company and intended for the world's leading manufacturers of cars, motorcycles, trucks, agricultural vehicles and earthmoving machines. The company was founded in 1954 in Codogno by the Falchetti family, which still guides it today. Today MTA has a second site in Italy, in Rolo (RE), and eight others around the world, all wholly owned and with the same quality standards. Thanks to this organization, over the years the MTA Group has been able to establish a global presence in the main countries where its customers operate. The historical site in Codogno acts as MTA Headquarters: here are located the plastic molding, metal cutting, and assembly departments, as well as electrical and electronic R&D; a laboratory that boasts state-of-the-art equipment, including an anechoic chamber to perform all the tests required by customers for product validation. The Rolo site is considered a center of excellence for the development and production of electronic instrumentation, and the entire production area is an EPA (Electronic Protected Area).Outside of Italy, in addition to electrical assembly in all the plants – with the exception of MTA USA, which is a technical and commercial office – we find plastic molding in Brazil, Slovakia, and Morocco; a laboratory in China, Brazil, and Morocco; and R&D in the USA, Brazil, Morocco, India, and China. In addition to its ten sites, MTA also has five front offices in Germany, England, France, Russia, and Turkey offering technical and commercial support. In 2019, the MTA group employed a total of 1,550 people and had sales of €203 million.
