Gioia Ristorante + Pastificio, located in the heart of Chicago's thriving West Loop community, is the culinary masterpiece founded by Chef and Partner Federico Comacchio. A native of Lodi, Italy, Comacchio called upon his impressive background in some of the most noteworthy kitchens around the globe as well as some of his most memorable meals throughout Italy to showcase his love of regional cooking. He is thrilled to express his interpretation of regional Italian cuisine, especially with pasta preparation. The centerpiece of Gioia will be the different types of pasta made daily in-house. Gioia's ever-changing menu is fueled by Comacchio's regular visits to Italy to eat and learn from local artisans. Comacchio will honor the heirloom recipes of the country's local cuisine while presenting a contemporary take that speaks to today's guests. Gioia is located at 1133 W. Randolph and will open in Spring 2020.
