Royal Oaks Lifecare Community started as a dream of Dr. J. Davis Illingworth and Mr. Roe Walker. In the winter of 1983, Royal Oaks opened its doors. The 38 acre campus includes 263 Independent Living Apartments, 110 Independent Living Garden Homes, 59 Assisted Living apartments, and a 125-bed skilled nursing facility.
