Interdisciplinary Research Leaders (IRL) is a national leadership program of the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation for teams of researchers and community partners. These teams work with the community to design and conduct rigorous research to explore critical issues, then apply the findings in real time to advance health and equity and to dismantle structural barriers such as systemic racism. This is action-oriented research, and we believe it is essential to building a Culture of Health, one in which everyone across the United States has a fair and just opportunity to live a longer, healthier life.
