The 5Rhythms® Dance/Movement Practice is a tool to help us navigate these times of constant change and bring our bodies, hearts and minds into alignment, so we can listen to the magic of our soul and spirit. Using music from around the world, we dance freestyle through five energies or beats:- Flowing, to experience being fluid and letting things in- Staccato, to focus our passion and clearly express ourselves- Chaos, to shed what is not needed- Lyrical, to traverse the earth with a lightness of spirit- Stillness, to move peacefully in the rhythms of our breathEach rhythm is a gateway for discovering different aspects of how we are in relationship to ourselves, a partner and a group. While the practice itself is simple, it has the power to catalyze deep healing. Classes are open to everyone, regardless of age, size or physical ability -- for people who like to show off or those who can barely show up, survivors of bad backs, bum knees or broken hearts.
