MISSION: Wellness-Connecting Life Resources to People in Need.The Eight is a grassroots organization currently operating with a 100% volunteer pool, including the nonprofit's executive officers. The Eight provide community-based wellness services programs and host events through strategic alliances with corporations and organizations. We promote "Wellness" by utilizing the 8 Dimensions of Wellness (Occupational, Physical, Social, Spiritual, Financial, Environmental, Intellectual, and Emotional), helping to create "Well" communities in which we live and can grow. We offer services to youth, women, older adults and people with "diverse-abilities. Since 2006, our virtual and Pop Up clinics have helped over 10,000 individuals through personal crisis attached to lack of basic essentials, education, employment, medical and creative resources. We also customize and deliver programs on site. We are excited to offer Wellness Coach Certification Courses an introduction for people to learn how to be well and do well for others.The strategies, tools, and techniques used in our Wellness Coach training program are based on rigorous research. Most of the elements are part of the US National Registry for Evidence-based Programs and Practices (NREPP), a registry operated by the US Department of Health and Human Services' Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Agency.Up to 50 hours of CE for nurses, alcohol & drug counselors, marriage and family therapists and counselors, psychologists, and social workers, 1.9 CEUs for personal trainers and 3 college credits for students.
