Tropenbos Ghana, a member of the Tropenbos International Network, was established mainly in response to challenges related to sustainable landscape management in Ghana. Working in the Juaboso-Bia, Sefwi-Wiawso, Amansie West, Asante Akim and Atebubu-Kintampo landscapes, Tropenbos Ghana engages local communities, small and medium forest enterprises, smallholder cocoa farmers, artisanal and small-scale miners, actors along the charcoal commodity chain, the government at all levels and the private sector. In the heart of the activities of Tropenbos Ghana is communication and advocacy. Tropenbos Ghana has implemented and is currently implementing several programmes aimed at ensuring sustainable land use, inclusive governance, responsible business, independent forests monitoring and degraded mined site rehabilitation.
