International Development Consultant at Thinking Development - London, England, United Kingdom
Thinking Development is a charity that was founded in response to Haiti's 2010 earthquake to deliver permanent planning support to educators in Port-au-Prince when all that could be found elsewhere were transitional solutions. The organisation connects a community of educators and students in downtown Port-au-Prince with a group of designers, documenters and development planners associated with University College London's Institute for Risk and Disaster Reduction in London. Our mission is twofold: to pool our strengths to design and build a passive, high-density, sustainable, replicable, multi-functional and beautiful educational complex in the heart of Haiti's capital city, and to document the process in short films that capture this unique journey and share its lessons with other development practitioners, other disaster victims, and all those with a passion for breaking down international barriers in the name of equitable and sustainable development.
