The ALERT (Australian Lymphoedema Education, Research and Treatment) team at Macquarie University Hospital consists of experienced health professionals coming together to form a comprehensive clinical and research service. The team aims to optimise positive outcomes for people living with lymphoedema through excellence in assessment and management of the condition along the continuum.Education:The ALERT Education program aims to provide courses and skill-based workshops to health professionals in all aspects of lymphoedema management, from theory to treatment intervention. Content is based on current scientific evidence and the latest in innovative resources and technology.Through the ALERT Education program, Macquarie University is the first Australian university to offer lymphoedema education through a continuing development program.
