We are indeed in an era of extreme events – climate change, terrorism, famine, ageing, and worsening global economic conditions. These events are expected to interact in a complex way to adversely impact population health. The fact that good health is a requirement for not only individual and national productivity but also happiness is something we share and try to live by. We believe that everyone can contribute a quota to global efforts for the maintenance of population health against the force of these events. At ACE, we form a team strengthened by relevant expertise and passion for translational research to undertake public health research and mediate stakeholders in the dissemination of scientific knowledge.
