In 1989 Tom Douglas opened his flagship restaurant, the Dahlia Lounge and has expanded his business to 19 different joints and businesses, including a farm in Prosser, Washington, 4 cookbooks - the latest being the NY Times Best Selling Dahlia Bakery Cookbook and Rub with Love, a line of hand-crafted spice rubs sold nationwide. Most recently, his efforts have been towards opening TanakaSan, an American-Asian joint, Assembly Juice and Coffee and Home Remedy, an urban grocer concept. In 2012, he won the James Beard award for Outstanding Restaurateur of the Year. Tom also serves on the board of Food Lifeline, an organization dedicated to eliminating hunger in western Washington. Our restaurants are filled with more than 1000+ co-workers whose main objective is to cook and serve deliciousness with graciousness. Seattle is our home and we put forth the effort to respect our food and the city that provides it. We hope to see you in our joints!
