In Latin America and the Caribbean, children with liver diseases face a cruel reality everyday. Due to a lack of health-care professionals with specialized training and limited medical supplies hundreds of patients are currently not able to receive the life-changing transplant they are waiting for.Our mission is to make living donor pediatric liver transplant available in these areas.Fundahigado America is an institution established in Virginia, United States and our objective is to develop educational and training activities for healthcare professionals to conduct medical treatment for diseases of the liver in areas of the Americas and the Caribbean region. We aim to develop an unique medical activity in underserved countries by educating professionals in the practice of liver transplant. Our focus are the patients who are in need, so they can receive the treatment and continue their lives.We wish to join efforts and train a team of healthcare professionals and equip healthcare facilities to conduct scientific research and provide medical treatment for diseases of the liver.The practice of pediatric liver diseases can rescue lives and with your help, hundreds of childrens' dreams will become a reality.
