LEGITI is the Latin American anti-fraud platform focused on the new frontier of e-commerce. Credit-card fraud is rampant in e-commerce. Businesses in Latin America lack the means to assess each and every transaction effectively, often having to compromise security of payment for speed and customer experience. This increases the cost of doing business, and thus that of products and services - i.e., bad for everyone. Worldwide, retailers are expected to lose USD$130 billion to online credit card fraud by 2023. Beyond this lost revenue, companies find themselves halting expansion or revisiting product development - in some extreme cases, giving up entrance to a new regional market - because of the assumed risks associated with credit card fraud. Not only is this problem crippling to companies that are already up and running, it keeps new businesses (and business models) from flourishing.
