Simple, intuitive and fast-for-live. SocialMediaLink.tv is an easy-to-use online application that brings social media interaction with your audience into the control room and On-Air, Live! The Social Media Link platform allows you to perform live searches for Twitter and Facebook messages, and create playlists that are downloaded by your on-air graphics system for live display in real time. Tweets and Posts can be moderated, edited and are automatically screened for profanity before being added to the live feed during your television broadcast. User defined search terms and hashtags allow for specific feeds across multiples shows for sport and news channels.This cloud based platform can be used from any browser on any computer. The application produces an XML data feed which any modern live graphics system can download and display. Avatar images are included in the data file. Simply extract the data items you want and assign them to your text and logo objects. Add those objects to a ticker, roll, or updating lower thirds. SML can also be used during channel playout for live social media interaction on shows that are post-produced but still require active engagement during the playout. The platform allows for multiple users within a show. It also allows for multiple shows within a genre, for example, Cricket / Rugby / Football programmes on a single sports channel, or simultaneously across multiple channels. Billing is ad-hoc per episode, but weekly and monthly licenses are also available for more active users.
