Time For Tea was an idea that I had in 2017 when it became apparent to me just how many seniors experience loneliness and isolation within our community. My passion has always been for people....and without grandparents of my own, it was easy to gravitate toward the senior population. I'm not qualified to perform healthcare, and quite frankly...I don't do well with it anyways! I very much wanted to assist seniors in a more personal way...whether that's coming in for a cup of tea, or assisting when the family could not. I also like to think of myself as an additional set of eyes for the family. I am quick to report back any concerns or comments regarding your loved ones care and current living arrangements. For those families or independent seniors who are considering making the move to retirement or nursing homes, I would suggest giving my service a try before making the leap. Really give some thought to the reason you are thinking about retirement or the nursing home...if it's something simple that we can step in and assist with...you just might be able to remain independent in your own home. Many seniors view giving up their home as giving up their independence. Our goal is to keep you at home and filling the gaps. Perhaps you are finding it too difficult to bend over and clean the tub, vacuum the home, take out the trash, do your laundry, get out of the house for groceries, or whatever the case may be! Don't sweat the small stuff...that's what we are here for! Paying an hourly rate for our service is FAR more economical than making the giant $$ leap to a home. Perhaps it's not about the household duties...it's more about loneliness and isolation. We've got you covered there too!! We come into the home and spend the time with your loved one that you may not have.
