The Lotus Flower Trust raises money to build homes, schools and orphanages for poor children, whose parents often live on less than one dollar a day, and who live in remote and often environmentally challenging areas of rural India. We work with local communities to bring education and dignity to some of the poorest children in the world. In eight short years, from when the Lotus Flower Trust was founded in 2008 until January 2016, the Trust has completed 35 major building projects, spending £870,000 and housing over 3,000 children. The charity also recently funded the very first residential school for children with special needs in Uttarakhand. Our projects have been identified by local people as having lasting benefit. We have long-term trusted partners in India, with local knowledge, who oversee all our projects and ensure that what we do is of real benefit and all monies raised are put to the best use. We use local labour and materials and build in the local style, which is of great financial benefit to the community, ensuring real ownership of the projects. Working with companies:The Lotus Flower Trust welcomes working with companies to raise funds for projects. Those who sponsor a major project are encouraged to come to India with us and work on their project. These experiences can be life changing, for the fund raisers as well as the beneficiaries. Projects range in cost from £10,000 to £55,000. Just £10,000 can help change the futures of 25 children born into poverty. If you or your company are interested in raising funds to change the lives of some of the poorest children in the world, please don't hesitate to get in touch.http://www.lotusflowertrust.orghttps://www.facebook.com/lotusflowertrustThe Lotus Flower Trust is a registered charity, number 1127316
