Kolkata clean air (KCA), a community and citizen initiative to make Kolkata the one of the most liveable and climate friendly city in the world, in its endeavour to develop and implement an accelerated city specific sustainability action plan to curb the air pollution in Kolkata through people participation and policy action. In a very short span it has established into a network on 50+ Organisations, Experts, Academicians, scientists, lawyers, doctors and 1000s of citizens joining the movement. We have delivered close to 30 workshops, multiple citizens awareness drives, walks, online petitions, conduct multiple studies involving experts to highlight the adverse effects of pollution on human health. What started as a campaign is slowly taking shape into being an organisation that works towards building a model for citizen state partnership towards a sustainable city towards its vision to make Kolkata the one of the most liveable and climate friendly city in the world
